Key findings
- AIS Insights, an initiative of the Association for Information Systems, brings current Information Systems research to practice, where leaders need it most in times of AI.
- Every insight starts from a question digital leaders face in practice, answers it with the study's findings, and says what they mean for five roles: CIO or IT executive, IT manager, business strategist, researcher and policymaker.
- Each study comes three ways: the key question and findings to read, a short episode to listen to, and its core idea in one visual, all in eleven languages.
- An AI workflow on today's leading language models, built by the team behind AIS Insights, finds, distils and presents the key insights of each study. The study's authors check and approve what is said about their work, and nothing goes live without their approval. Every insight links to the original study.
- Ask AIS Insights answers your own question from the whole library and cites the studies it draws on.
What it means for you
CIO / IT Executive
Before a technology decision goes to the board, check what the research says. Search by topic or use Ask AIS Insights, and take the key findings into the meeting with the study one click away.
IT Manager
Find what studies say about implementing, adopting and running systems. “What it means for you” turns each finding into a step for your team, and the episode fits into your commute.
Business Strategist
Test assumptions about digital strategy, platforms and AI against evidence. Share an insight with your team instead of a 40-page study.
Researcher
Add your paper and reach the people your research is about. We draft the summary and the episode, you check and approve them before anything is published, and the insight links to your publication. Reading other insights also gives you the practical core of studies to use in teaching, at conferences and as a source of new research ideas.
Policymaker
Find independent, peer-reviewed evidence on AI governance, cybersecurity or sustainability in plain language, with the original study linked for the details.

Expert: Hello, Anna.
Host: Alex, what is A.I.S. Insights?
Expert: It's an initiative of the Association for Information Systems, bringing current research to practice, where leaders need it most in times of AI. Information Systems researchers study the decisions organisations face every day: adopting AI, governing data, securing their systems. A.I.S. Insights takes those studies and turns them into something you can use in a few minutes.
Host: Why is that needed? The studies are published.
Expert: They are, but they're written for other researchers: long, technical, and spread across many journals and conferences. If you have a decision to make on Monday, you don't have an afternoon to find the right study and read it.
Host: So what does an insight look like?
Expert: It starts with a question digital leaders face in practice. For example: how do we get AI out of the pilot phase and into everyday business? Then come the findings that answer it. In that case, the study shows how one large industrial company did it: by bringing AI experts and the people on the factory floor together. And finally, what it means for you, whether you lead IT, shape strategy, do research or make policy.
Host: And I have to read all of that?
Expert: Only if you want to. You can read it, listen to a short episode like this one, or see the core idea in a single visual. And all of it comes in eleven languages.
Host: Who writes them?
Expert: The team behind A.I.S. Insights has built an AI workflow on today's leading language models that specialises in exactly this: finding the key insights in a study, distilling them, and presenting them. It drafts each insight. Then the study's authors check what we say about their work and tell us what to correct. Nothing goes live without their approval. And every insight links to the original study.
Host: So the authors have the last word.
Expert: Exactly.
Host: What if my question isn't covered by a single study?
Expert: Then try Ask A.I.S. Insights. You ask in your own words, it searches the library, and it answers with citations to the studies it used.
Host: And what's in it for researchers?
Expert: A lot. Researchers can use A.I.S. Insights to make their work heard, and to make it matter in practice. That's never been more important. Organisations are in the middle of an AI transformation, and they need research to guide them.
Host: So how do researchers take part?
Expert: Add your paper on the website. We draft the summary and the episode, you review them, and your work reaches people beyond academia.
Host: And I imagine it's worth listening for researchers, too.
Expert: Absolutely. Every insight brings out the most practical findings of a study. That makes it easier to talk about research, in class, at conferences, with colleagues. And it often sparks new research ideas.
Host: Thank you, Alex, and thank you for listening. You'll find every insight at A.I.S. insights dot A.I. This was A.I.S. Insights.
